FAQ MICHIGAN

Our cottages are located at the end of a private trail on the breezy east shores of Lake Paradise, next to 200 acres of conservancy land and hiking trails. There are three newly renovated lakeside log cottages to choose from. All have new knotty pine, king size bed, new appliances and bathroom.

Each cottage rental includes:

  • Wood burning fireplaces (cut wood is provided)
  • Fishing boat and oars
  • Picnic table
  • Weber charcoal barbecue grill
  • Pots, pans, dishes and utensils
  • King sized bed and a sleeper sofa
  • Blankets and pillows
  • Open stone firepit for bonfires (cut wood is provided)
  • Flat screen TV with DVR and a sterio

All you need to bring are kitchen linens, bath towels and sheets.

Lake Paradise is known for terrific fishing with Walleye (stocked), Bass, Perch, Pke and Bluegill. The lake bottom has a gradual slope and is ideal for small children to swim.

Things to do and places to go:

  • Take a ferry boat to historic Mackinaw Island. Make sure to buy plenty of delicious fudge!
  • Pack a picnic lunch and spend time on the miles of white sand beach of Sturgeon Bay on Lake Michigan.
  • Spend the day shopping and/or have lunch in Harbor Springs and Petoskey.
  • A short drive across the famous Mackinaw Bridge allows you to try out your luck at the Casino in St. Ignace.
  • Spend an afternoon at one of the many area golf courses or play a game of tennis in the village closeby.
  • Relax at the cottage with a good book while the other fish or swim.
  • The area has many country/lakeside dining spots. Ask Peggy for her list of favorites.
  • At the end of the day, enjoy breathtaking sunsets from your own sunroom; and later, roast marshmallows over the bonfire pit at the lake's edge.
